Beechwood Road
Extensive extensions and remodelling of a 1970’s Tudor revival property in heart of Beaconsfield’s prime residential area (The Golden Triangle) amounted to an almost complete new build project.
HAA developed initial concept designs and achieved planning permission (where others had failed) for the proposed extensions and alterations. The client’s brief was for a contemporary design with large open plan living spaces. Extensive glazing is to the rear over looking the garden and swimming pool areas.
A striking contemporary look was achieved by over-cladding the upper parts of the entire building with fire blackened random spaced vertical timber cladding over neat local brickwork. The rear projecting main gable containing the master bedroom was clad in standing seam zinc.
HAA provided the detail drawings and building regulation package liaising with other consultants during the construction phase.
An emphasis on sustainability incorporated into the mechanical and electrical heat and lighting design. Both bore hole Ground Source and solar PV producing energy to help power the property.
