This 3D model of the existing building and the proposed single storey extension was built at the early concept design stages to test massing an orientation of the design in the actual context of a steeply sloping site in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and to simulate sun path and solar gain through the large, glazed façade at the rear.

This informed the addition of a pergola to provide shading to the large sliding doors. Different window and dormer designs, materials and colour options were tried out, and the model was internally fully modelled with bespoke furniture and finishes to help our clients visualize the new rooms.
